Straight & Narrow offers three residential treatment (ASAM Level III.5) programs for women: Alpha I, Alpha II and Alpha III. Our goal is to offer trauma informed compassionate care that is sensitive to the unique needs of women.

Alpha I: Located in Paterson
  • Alpha I offers a variable length of stay, approximately 6-9 months, for women referred for long-term treatment including Drug Court and Mutual Agreement Programs.
  • Pregnant women are accepted into the program and may keep their children with them after giving birth
  • Women on medically assisted treatment or detoxification are accepted into the program
  • On-site spiritual support and guidance
  • All women enrolled in the program will receive assistance with obtaining medical benefits, general assistance, and SNAP benefits


Alpha II: Located in Secaucus
  • Offers a variable length of stay, approximately 6-12 months, residential treatment program for women and is located on the New Jersey Substance Abuse Treatment Campus
  • All women enrolled in the program will receive assistance with obtaining medical benefits, general assistance, and SNAP benefits


Alpha III: Located in Paterson
  • The Alpha III program is part of the statewide consortium that provides treatment for pregnant women and women with children who are Work First participants and have an open DCPP case
  • Women in the Alpha III program participate in an intensified treatment program that includes education about child development and parenting
  • Women with an open DCPP case who are pending reunification with their child under 5 years of age are eligible for treatment
  • Women on medically assisted treatment or detoxification are accepted into the program
  • All women enrolled in the program will receive assistance with obtaining medical benefits, TANF, WIC, and SNAP benefits
