Straight & Narrow Alumni Testimonials
"It took me 2 tries at S&N but sometimes we need to trip up a bit to move on. I was stipulated the first time and volunteered the second where i learned the most. I owe a lot of my life to the people who helped me along the way as well as my friends i stuck with from the program. It may sound weird but i miss it a lot sometimes not just the program but the fond memories that i'll never forget like the lake trips, the S&N softball team amongst other things but mostly the friendships or should i say my family that i've grown so close to. We've lost some great people along the way May God Rest their souls and they will not be forgotten. It was a very great and important part of my life."

Our Philosophy And Approach

Respect for clients, and an emphasis on undeveloped potential, guide the treatment process at Straight & Narrow.
Clients are encouraged to become active partners in their recovery from addiction and full participants in setting goals that will utilize their skills and abilities and chart a positive path toward a productive future.

A client-centered, directive, but non-confrontational approach that focuses on the whole person, including substance abuse, mental and physical health is designed to raise clients’ awareness of the need for change and move them forward through the change process. Medication for co-occurring disorders and medication-assisted treatment for those addicted to opiates are available as indicated. Cognitive behavioral techniques are used to help clients develop proactive strategies for preventing relapse and actualizing their strengths.

At Straight & Narrow clients are empowered as change makers.
